Social House Welcomes Silan Fadulallah as Account Strategist

Silan joins us with a background that spans social strategy, creative direction, and culture. She has led social-first campaigns and brand strategy for major brands across beauty, CPG, gaming, and lifestyle, with experience at agencies including VaynerMedia and brands including Vans, Cantu, and Crunchyroll.

Outside of marketing, Silan is a DJ, a hummingbird rescuer, and a nature lover who draws inspiration from music, live events, community, and the texture of everyday life. That curiosity shows up in the way she works: grounded in relationships, tuned in to culture, and focused on what actually resonates.

At Social House, Silan brings a rare combination of strategic rigor and genuine warmth to account work, building client trust while keeping brand thinking sharp and culturally connected.

We're glad to have her here. Get to know Silan:

1) What’s something you’re watching closely in the industry right now?
Honestly, I’m really interested in how Instagram engagement and reach are evolving with all of Meta’s updates right now. It feels like brands can’t rely on the same formulas anymore, so I’ve been paying close attention to what actually drives meaningful reach versus passive impressions.

2) What drew you to becoming an account strategist at Social House?
I’ve always loved the balance of combining creative thinking with strategy. I like being able to understand the bigger picture for a brand while also thinking through the details of partnership building. I’d also heard really great things about Social House’s culture :).

3) What’s the most useful thing you learned so far in your career that still sticks with you?
Being honest, empathetic, and remembering there’s a real person on the other side of every email, deck, meeting, or campaign. Things move fast in this industry, but relationships and trust matter more than anything long term.

4) What’s your go-to platform right now, professionally and personally?
Definitely Pinterest for professional inspo and Instagram for personal, I love a good bird Reel. TikTok hasn’t been the same since they were acquired.

5) What do you think clients actually need most from their account team even if they don’t always say it?
Trust. Clients want to feel like their team genuinely understands their brand, communicates transparently, and can problem solve proactively without creating more stress.

6) What’s a skill you have that people don’t always associate with someone in your role?
Charisma. A huge part of account management and strategy is relationship building, reading people, and making others feel comfortable and understood. I think emotional intelligence and energy are just as important as being organized or strategic.

7) What do you do outside of work that people might not expect?
I work with a local sanctuary and rescue hummingbirds in my free time :).

8) What’s always in your Notes app?
A list of random songs that I think would pair well together for upcoming DJ sets.

9) What’s a brand you think is doing something really interesting right now, and why?
Kids of Immigrants. Their Nike collaboration was such a huge moment, but beyond that, I think they’ve built a brand that feels deeply authentic and community-rooted. Nothing about it feels forced.

10) If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Laidback, genuine, trustworthy.

11) What does good collaboration actually feel like to you?
When things feel genuinely aligned: creatively, strategically, and culturally. The best collaborations happen when everyone shares a real sense of ethos and trust instead of just trying to check boxes.

12) What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
“How you practice is how you play.” Even working remotely, showing up prepared, organized, and intentional matters. These small habits become your baseline.

13)  What's on your current playlist?
Toro y Moi, Blood Orange, The Japanese House. But recently I’ve had “Plasma” by Kiss Facility on repeat.

14) What’s a brand that did something recently that actually stopped your scroll?
The Kids of Immigrants x Nike collaboration for sure. It was really inspiring seeing how much they’ve grown while still keeping such a strong identity and community presence.

15) What inspires you outside of digital marketing?
Music, nature, and my community. A lot of my inspiration comes from real conversations, being outside, live music, traveling, and just experiencing culture in everyday life.
